So what do you guys think??
I hadn't seen this video before now. It shows Casse and jockey in winner circle with awkward handshake (handoff?).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBFovrJ3W6k

From that video, I was able to determine race involved. Here's the replay.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeRqzpQjdTI
I've watched both videos atleast a dozen times now, over the past few days.
My thoughts ...
1) first video doesn't appear like a handoff to me.
2) race replay makes me think otherwise because it looks like a 'device' used case. Jockey never used whip and I can clearly see 3 instances of device usage.
3) if this is a device used case, then this is troubling to me simply because Casse doesn't use Rosario as much as others .... so how much smoother are the others?

So the race makes me think maybe I'm not 'seeing' the handoff and it really is there or device was smuggled in another manner.
What do you think?

I don't see anything untoward. It appears to me that the trainers hand is opened when the alleged handoff is supposedly made. As far as not using the whip during the race there are many horses that respond badly to the whip. I've seen enough horses hand ridden to victory. I would go with not guilty on this one since I would need more evidence.

How many handrides have you been able to identify buzzer ride??
If you say 'zero' then you don't know what to look for because I can guarantee you've been witness to it, know it or not.
I've seen lots of hand rides to, that does not identify buzzer. As a matter of fact, I've seen jocks go from buzzer to whip and back to buzzer.
The first one I recognized live was Valhol in 1999. Ever since I've watched closely.

Nobody ever admits this stuff goes on, but it is a regularity.
I just watched a jockey use one yesterday at Woodbine, for crying out loud, and the jock sucks. And I love Woodbine!!

Not sure about it being a buzzer. Jockeys usually give the buzzer to their valet, not to someone who will be hanging around the winners circle. I have seen trainers hand win tickets to jockeys before. Also the horse did not looked like it was being zapped. No tail swishing.
