I get that Utah is visiting team
i like going for it with less than 10 seconds left in the game
but if they don’t get it which they didn’t they lose
if they get the two point conversion usc has 42 seconds and 3 timeouts
so they still can drive for a FG.
Just kick xp and go for OT
To much risk in my opinion
It makes no coaching sense

I had no bet on the game

I just disagree with the call

what am i missing???

USC moving ball with no problem. On the road go for win, at home go for the tie.

I would have done the same thing, he had a wide open receiver. Didn't work out but it was the right call

I agree BUT only with less time

usc still could kick FG

its so risky and you still can lose.

On last play play of the game sure

That 2 point conversion had no chance.

Utah was 4-1 coming into this game.

Idiot coach.

Tough call. I am pretty sure USC burned their last time out when the saw the formation for the 2 pointer. USC was rolling them 2nd half, still think it was right call

Idiot coach.

Had a good chance if the qb was looking up, wr all alone 10 feet away. His mind was made up on the run and it cost them the game

Because USC and Darnold couldn't be stopped and Troy Wiliams sucks.

Going for 2 was the absolute right call there. Kyle knew his team had zero chance of stopping USC in OT. Did you see how in the 4th Q, their OL just pushed them around. They would never hold up in OT outside of a miracle turnover.

Not sure if you watched the game w/ the volume on but Herbstreit even suggested after Utah scored the TD to go for 2 b/c USC was moving the ball no problem on them the past few drives

Comes down to simple math and it was the right call. Utah had a better opportunity of converting the 2 then beating USC in OT.

Wrong

they lost. They didn’t get to go to overtime.
I understand what most are saying. But I’m not making my point clear. There was way too much time left to go for two.
They kick xp and try and hold usc in the final 45 seconds. Then maybe go for two on first possession of ot if they score.
I just disagree.

Now will I agree if it was final play of regulation

Very few people in this thread if any is even comprehending what the OP is asking.

There is a big difference going
for 2 wirh 42 secs left vs going for 2 with 2 secs left .

Most people in this thread is using the reasoning Utah could not stop them so they should go for 2.

That makes no sense at all.
thats the very reason they should not have gone for 2.

If they go for 2 and get it then you force USC into hurry O wirh 3 TOS and they probably win anyway even if Utah gets the conversion.

Only time you should ever go for 2 like that is if the other would have a 0% chance of winning
if you are successful .

So long story short the couch was an idiot .

College football is over run with idiot clock management coaches it’s very hard to watch

USC burned its last time out when Utes showed their hand on the 2 point attempt. USC had zero time outs left.

It was the right call

If you don't think Utah was right in going for 2 considering all the circumstances, you know zero about football & probably should not be wagering on it.
