While the 2 Washington teams were picking apples instead of playing football, Utahs coach gifted the win to USC. Why did he go for 2? Had the Utes won they could have controlled their destiny as far as winning the south and being in the playoff ..NO?

And if USC needed another comeback from double digits from Darnold, to beat Utah by 1 point at home on a gift. do they even deserve to be in the tourney?

He went for 2 because he knew that his defense had zero chance of stopping USC in OT. The USC OL manhandled them and moved the ball at will in the 4th Q. He knew this was his only chance to win. The messed up thing is the QB missed a wide open receiver in the end zone because he was committed to trying to run it in.

It was a great call. On the road with a 40% chance to put a team away. Done deal. The Utes will thrash USC next year in Salt Lake.
