Agree. Seem like lots of close Big ten games when you get the best teams playing each other. Not necessarilly true for SEC and some of these other conferences. Seem like the Big Ten tends to have more traditional NFL style offenses that aren't extremely explosive or dominant running games mixed with athletic QBS. And if you are going that way it would seem you need an elite QB or extremely athletic talent at the offensive skill positions. Also seem to have more sold defenses. Maybe that is just meUM's defense will keep this inside of double digits. very big step up in defense from anything the creepy valleys have seen this year
btw, how can a former QB field such a deplorable offense?
u think indiana wore michigan down? they scored first drive of 2nd half then went six straight 3-and-outs followed by an INT. the late TD they scored was a 20 yard drive set up because of a punt return. michigan gave up 27 yards in 7 drivesI think Michigan defense gets worn down in the second 1/2 ..Look at the Indiana game

btw, how can a former QB field such a deplorable offense? The guy inherited a great defense, still playing at that level, and has regressed on his side of the ball. 8M doesn't get you much anymore
Card carrying Penn State fan here.....Anyone backing Penn State should be ridiculously aware of the fact that Michigan's DL has a sickeningly advantage over Penn State's OL. The gap should be frightening to you if you're trying to cover 10. Penn State is loaded with skills players at RB, TE, and WR but their OL is mediocre at best for Big Ten standards. They won't face a monster like Maurice Hurst all year long, not even Ohio State. He'll be in the backfield in a nanosecond on every snap. Penn State QB Trace McSorley hasn't looked as mobile this year as he has in the past and has made lots of questionable decisions in the RPO.
Penn State's defense is good, no doubt, but they have benefited from the fact that the offense has moved the ball and kept the defense well rested. They might be afforded that luxury here today. I expect them to get a real workout for the first time this year, and they could be wilting a little in the 2nd half. Michigan's defense is elite and used to being on the field all game long with a struggling offense.
I was thrilled to be able to grabbed Mich +10.5 early. The under is playable as well if that's your cup of tea, but this game has 17-16 written all over it.
