Marshawn Lynch was ejected in the second quarter of the Oakland Raiders' 31-30 win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday for shoving an official.

Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters delivered a late hit on Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, igniting a shoving match between several members of both teams.

Lynch ran into the scrum from the sideline and shoved line judge Julian Mapp, who was holding the running back.

CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson initially reported that Lynch had left the building, but he was later seen in the stands and in the locker room after the game.

The running back now faces a fine and possible suspension.

“I was disappointed he ran out because I knew we had a 15-yard penalty and we’d be in good shape,” Raiders coach Jack Del Rio told reporters after the game. “I told him you can’t leave the bench like that. That was about it. Next thing I knew, he was being tossed. The referee told me he had actually put his hands on him.”

Lynch had two carries for 9 yards before his ejection.

Apparently he's very close with Marcus Peters. Very stupid to grab up the official though. I like Marshawn. I thought it was a terrible look and I called him an idiot and all that. NBA suspends people for this, I'd be surprised if the NFL didn't suspend him for this

especially that he wasn't even on the field during the play. He came from the sidelines or the bench

He should be suspended for 8 games and fined $1,000,000 if the NFL has any balls. This type of behavior shouldn't be tolerated.

Raiders' Marshawn Lynch suspended one game.

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch has been suspended without pay for one game for making contact with an official in the second quarter of Thursday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Lynch already has appealed the suspension, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
If the suspension stands, he will lose his game check of $79,411.
Lynch ran off the sideline and into a scrum after Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters hit Raiders quarterback Derek Carr late, drawing a flag for a personal foul. Several Raiders offensive linemen went after Peters, an Oakland native and close friend of Lynch's.
Lynch bumped line judge Julian Mapp in the chest and then grabbed the official by the jersey before letting go and tending to Peters.
Lynch was ejected from the game as a result.
Jon Runyan, the NFL vice president of football operations, noted in a letter to Lynch: "You made deliberate physical contact with one of our game officials as he was diffusing an active confrontation between players. You were disqualified for your inappropriate and unsportsmanlike actions. Your conduct included pushing the game official and grabbing his jersey."
Runyan also wrote that Lynch was "the only player from either team who ran from the sideline to midfield to insert himself into a situation in which he was not directly involved."
The Raiders beat the Chiefs 31-30.
