1. Set my alarms and Handicap the games 2 hours before game time. (I do 90% contrarian betting so I usually always get a Great line before Buybackers come in )
I TRY VERY VERY HARD TO STAY CONSISTANT.

2. Every 3-7 days I will REVIEW all bets to try and "SPOT" a new "WAVE" beginning or Ending.

(ONE if my main Theories in capping is every sport has 2-4 WAVES of line setting by the books.. they change LINE setting techniques/dif sports change their style of play... those moments are set with a grayish line.. and I can isolate it to within 1 week to 10 days...),

Everyone is aware of,
1. LINE SHOPPING
2. DON'T CHASE after a LOSS
3. DON'T OVERBET BANKROLL...

What is your 1-2-3 tips for managing the Tsunami of plays beginning Nov 9th??
Cheers!

Best days ever, but a grind.

1. The first thing that I believe is important is to get your methodology for analyzing the games down and ready, whatever that method may be. Be organized. Know your start times for each sport. On these busy days, you will be looking at all kinds of numbers for all kinds of sports, so being organized is very important. In my case, college and pro football games are in early during the week anyway, so more time for me to focus on the daily sports. I tend to look at college hoops first, as their lines tend to move very quickly. Then NBA, especially totals, then NHL.

2. If you don't have your money management figured out, you need to do that. I think one thing that most people miss is how much $ you are going to play per game per sport. There are significantly more betting opportunities in college basketball on a weekly basis than college football (probably 2-3 times more, as each CBB team plays about 2 games a week, and there are probably double the amount of CBB teams with lined games). So, if you are in for CBB for the season, then there should be no reason that you are betting the same $ amount per play in both sports. My opinion is your CBB unit should be about 1/4 to 1/2 of your CFB unit.

3. Similarly to number 2, you should know what you are good at, and where your profit potential comes from, and vary unit size accordingly. If you are just dabbling in CBB because you have extra CFB dollars in your account, and need action, your wager size needs to reflect that. I think this happens to a lot of people this time of year - they burn profits by playing too heavily in sports that they aren't good at just for action sake.

These are all just general thoughts. Tate covered a few other great points. Shopping lines is a necessity. It takes time but is so worth it. Not chasing losses should go without saying, but it happens to a lot at some point in their wagering career. If your "system" doesn't warrant a play, then don't play it, whether you are up/down for the day or weekend. Tomorrow is another day with better opportunities.

I think more would be successful at this if they treated this as more like a business than a hobby.

Just my 2 cents. Love these types of topics.
