The more I look into this race, the more I end up liking
#8 Channel Maker (10-1 ML)
A lot of these in here have ran against each other, I am looking outside the box with a Woodbine shipper who just worked 47 Breezing and
may find this field to his liking. Very consistent horse as you can see he's gotten a 5 in (4) straight races. I think this is the class of the field and it's not often you can get a good price like this with what easily could be the classiest horse in the race.
Should get a good trip off the pace sitting about
5th and waiting for a time to pounce. Van Dyke is a very good turf rider and jockey in general and should fit this horse perfectly. Ran 4th in the Queens Plate, numerous placings in graded stakes. In a race where many of these have beaten each other why not go with the new face? Bill Mott isn't bringing his colt here for nothing.
