Caution, you have to be able to think a little to follow along

Manafort appears to have a serious problem, and it's all about tax evasion and little about all the other window dressing

He appears to have not paid income taxes on a significant amount of foreign income, that's a significant issue. He's not the only person who avoids paying taxes though, Obama's Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Senator Tom Daschle, Senator John F Kerry, Representative Charlie Rangel, Representative Alcie Hastings have all evaded taxes to various degrees, albeit not to the extent Manafort appears to. I'm not justifying tax evasion, I'm just pointing out it happens even by tax increasing politicians in DC, and such is going to help me mock "charge number one"

He also appears guilty of not filing FBAR's, essentially not disclosing to the IRS foreign bank accounts with greater than $ 10,000 in them. I'm thinking hundreds of thousands of people fail that one too, although probably not to the tune of the millions Manafort may have failed to report.

He appears to be guilty of not registering as a foreign agent. I can't speak to this issue with first hand experience or understanding, but I've heard people say there are thousands of such unregistered agents in DC, and I tend to believe that's probably true. For example, I doubt Bill and Hillary have registered as foreign agents despite the fact that received millions of dollars from foreign entities whom they helped to influence foreign policy for. They received payments through their foundation and speaking fees.

What's noticeably missing in the 31 pages of accusations is any reference to Trump or the 2016 election or collusion with the Russian government. It's really all about tax evasion which as absolutely NOTHING to do with Trump.

Which brings me to "charge number one", "CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE UNITED STATES", LMFAO. Remember, this investigation was started to find collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, to which nobody has found anything despite spending millions of dollars, illegal wire taps, over one year of investigations .............................NOTHING. So, it what is an obvious politically motivated charge, they start with the wording "CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE UNITED STATES". You see, this implies some sort of collusion involving many people, it sounds so serious, it sounds as if Trump must be implicated when in reality all they have is TAX FRAUD. You see, committing TAX FRAUD does not rise to the level of conspiracy against the United States, and that expression is only used so the corrupt criminal colluding media can say that time and time again pretending there's more to the charges than unreported income.

And the media did their part, reeling in the simpletons that are prone to believing such bullshit.

In my mind, this charge proves one thing and one thing only, Mueller is part of the swamp.

Another bullshit charge, MONEY LAUNDERING. Money laundering usually involves taking money earned from illegal activities (like selling drugs), running through some sort of financial institution and reintroducing such money back into the economy as coming from some sort of legal activity. Often times, much of the money goes back to the original source. if that happened, and nobody said it did, I'm thinking that's a crime for the Ukraine to pursue.

It appears to me that Mueller is stretching income tax evasion into money laundering. Again, motivated to make things appear worse than they are. Again, no connection to Trump whatsoever

He probably lied someplace too, either when questioned and / or on some form.

So we may have tax evasion, failing to file an FBAR, failing to resister as a foreign agent and perjury (all a common practice in DC)

What we don't have is collusion between Trump and the Russians, Conspiracy Against the United States and money laundering

This is one certainly got lots of attention from the Ralphie Maddow like simpletons (good choice of words Willie) to eat up . It adds more fuel to the Russia attacked our Democracy narrative while there is no connection of any sort to campaign collusion.

Keep your heads plugged up your collective fat asses, even some Faux News lackeys can see the handwriting on the wall:

One of the traits about being an idiot is that, you're not AWARE that you're an idiot. Case in point, Stalker scum, remain oblivious. All together now, once again:

[h=1]Judge Napolitano on Why He Believes Trump Campaign Adviser 'Wore a Wire'[/h] [h=2]Papadopolous' guilty plea is very unusual, he explains.[/h]

The Russia investigation cannot be dismissed by the White House as "fake news," Judge Andrew Napolitano explained.
The Fox News senior judicial analyst emphasized the seriousness of the guilty plea by former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopolous, who he said most likely "wore a wire" to potentially gather incriminating evidence against other Trump campaign officials.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller announced the guilty plea on Monday, saying Papadopolous lied to FBI agents about contacts with a Russia-linked professor who spoke of "dirt" on Hillary Clinton in the spring of 2016.
The professor, based in London, has denied the claims laid out by Papadopolous. Napolitano said the guilty plea by Papadopolous was "very unusual" because it occurred in secret and the judge ordered the plea documents to be sealed.
Napolitano said for that to happen, prosecutors would need to convince the court that a lack of secrecy would "materially interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation."

He explained that the judge's decision was likely based on Papadopolous "wearing a wire" as a cooperating witness.
Napolitano also said it's telling that Papadopolous was not charged with obstruction of justice, perhaps because he has already provided "significant assistance" to investigators.
Napolitano said Papadopolous could end up getting off with just probation depending on how much information he provides to Mueller's team.
The judge said the charges unveiled against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his associate, Rick Gates, are enough to put both in jail for the rest of their lives.
"That will cause their lawyers to start negotiating with Bob Mueller," he predicted.

[h=1]Judge Napolitano: Manafort Indictment 'First of Many Dominoes to Fall'[/h]
Judge Andrew Napolitano predicted that the special counsel's charges today against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is the "first of many steps" in the Russia probe.
"This is the first of many dominoes to fall," the judge told "America's Newsroom."
Manafort turned himself in to the Washington, D.C. FBI office this morning on charges including conspiracy against the United States and money laundering in Russia-related business deals.
"What is troubling and newsworthy is the allegations continue to September of 2016, meaning during the time that Paul Manafort was the chair ... of Donald Trump's campaign," Napolitano said.
"You're going to indict people going up the totem pole to see if you can squeeze them," he said of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's strategy.
"Sometimes people will make things up so that the squeezing will stop," the judge said. "Sometimes they'll say, 'I don't know anything about the president.'"
Manafort and his business associate and fellow campaign official Rick Gates are the first to be charged in the Russia collusion probe.

Uranium One Mueller had zero interested in Manafort when he was head of the FBI as all of these alleged crimes took place during that period.

Apparently Manafort's only crime here is that he was Trump's campaign manager for less than 2 months.

As we all know, Manafort was working for the PODESTA GROUP during that time.. you know, John Podesta... Hillary's right hand man.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Special counsel Robert Mueller’s grand jury is investigating a prominent Democratic lobbyist and a former GOP congressman for their involvement in an influence campaign on behalf of Ukrainian interests tied to Paul Manafort, according to a person with direct knowledge of the investigation.

At the center of the widening probe are Tony Podesta, a longtime Democratic operative, and Vin Weber, a former GOP congressman and leader of his own high-powered lobbying firm, Mercury LLC. The two men were hired as part of a multimillion-dollar lobbying effort directed by Manafort and longtime associate Rick Gates.

Paul Manafort's lawyers will attack 'improperly obtained' evidence.

Manafort’s lawyers, Kevin Downing and Thomas Zehnle, said they planned to seek “the suppression of evidence improperly obtained by search warrant, subpoena or otherwise.” They also said they planned to challenge the “legal basis for and sufficiency of” money laundering, conspiracy and other charges against Manafort.

Good chance this whole sham of an investigation was kicked off by the Comey FBI's reliance on a phony dossier.
