The internet fell in love with this mysterious man, who is reportedly under 30 and Eastern European, because of his predictive abilities and willingness to risk it all each and every game. In Game 6, Sir Let it Ride won a $8 million bet on the Dodgers to bring his World Series winnings to roughly $14 million.

Of course, he's making the smart financial decision. But there is definitely a part of me that wanted him to make another savagely confident decision and let it ride just one more time.

Here's to hoping Sir Let it Ride's identity—or identities, as it could be a group placing the bets—becomes public soon.

The South Point was only one of the books that took big bets from this particular bettor on the Dodgers on Game 6.
Based on what sources told VSiN senior editor Matt Youmans, here was the breakdown of roughly $3.1M: MGM $1M; CG Tech $600,000; Wynn $600,000; William Hill $500,000; South Point $350,000; Westgate $50,000.
One prominent Las Vegas sports book director called reports of a much higher bet ``fake news.’’
``Those I spoke to around town say the numbers are very, very inflated,’’ said the director, who requested anonymity. ``I do know he’s (the bettor) is undefeated, but the numbers aren’t close to what is out there.’’

the books would allow a bet like this, if they felt confident they would get significant
cross action at 5 cents difference or slightly more on the other side. also they
would more inclined to take a bigger bet if they were sure the original
bet was at a poor price (think of all the mcgregor money the books swallowed
and kept in the Mayweather fight. many had large positions against conor)
as a side note, both of these conditions usually occur together. the bad price
the original bettor lays/takes can be adjusted quite easily to get cross action
as many gamblers would recognize value quite readily. in game six, there
were many ticket brokers who had to hedge bet the astros to insure
game 7 would be played and their profits protected. I have a few friends who
were in this position and the books were certainly aware of and encouraged
this kind of bet.
