Mainly by getting to, or eliminating, the root of the problem...
The problem is that the ability to obtain and use technology is severely outpacing the evolution process and cultural evolution process in certain parts of the world. We have been trying to survive long enough for these cultures to find their way and the bad culture has just been growing. Islam is one of the only religions on the rise, rather than the decline. Much like the dependency/victimhood culture we are fostering now in America, if we allow bad culture to just continue without calling it out for what it is and trying to defeat it, it will defeat us.
