Opened ND -1 1/2 the public quickly moved to ND -3 as I predicted.

Very strange how ND failed to cover vs Wake and Miami won as a home dog.
Vegas opened Miami as the favorite against VT knowing Joe public would rush into VT. They did making Miami a home dog. Surprise Vegas opens Miami as a home dog again this week but only at +1 1/2. No way they could put the real number like -11 on ND they would get raped.

VT lost to Miami because Fuente is playing with one returning WR and Frank Beamer's sub par OL recruits. Throw in a wondering and lost VT Mike backer with a safety playing corner and Miami won just as I predicted.

ND has 7 very good WR's, a very good RB, and most importantly a serious and very good OL. Throw in a competitor and very good QB and Miami will be lucky to hold ND below 30 points.

Miami has a freshman QB who threw 3 picks in the most important game of his life last week. This weeks game will be 10 times more hyped. Miami has an average RB and an average OL. They have a few burners at WR that were able to pick on a safety playing boundary corner for VT. ND has actual corners playing boundary corner. Their Mike does not wonder to the wrong gap and miss tackles when he finds the right one.

Of course if ND's QB goes down this game will be closer. Otherwise the Priests are going to take Miami's youngsters behind the woodshed
for a rub down and a beat down.

Man, you are some kind of nuts. Vegas OPENED Miami as a 3 point dawg against VT and the line closed Miami -2 to -3, depending on the store. Wake is actually a good team, BUT, ND fucked a skunk instead of pussy to give up the ATS win. Do I like ND in this spot, too early to tell, but wagering Saturday college games on the Monday before is fool's gold at best.

I have been saying they are fading and they will lose. But when I saw the line against VTech....I knew they were gonna win. It just seems to happen that way. Same thing here to be honest. Not much value in my opinion in going against a very good home team where you have to win the game. Miami or nothing. They will probably win this game lol. Then they play their last two against Virginia and at Pitt.....and then they will lose when everyone thinks they are great because they beat VTech and ND and are undefeated

ND's JV team played the 2nd half of the Wake game. ND was up 30 points on Wake. Conveniently the JV team allowed Wake to cover vs ND. Was Kelly just being prudent resting his starters or was it more? No doubt ND failing to cover vs Wake allowed Vegas the set the line at only ND -1 1/2. Add to it that Miami beat a very average VT team as I pointed out last week had some serious flaws at QB, WR, RB and OL.

ND has serious men on the OL, Miami is going to get manhandled. Beating VT was huge for Miami, revenge from last year, Coastal match up, plus no matter what happens vs ND it will have no bearing on the Coastal. UofL takes care of UVA and Miami is set vs Clem in ACC Championship. Just what the ACC wants.

ND 30+ Miami barely 14.

BTW on a side note VT had a 17 hour trip back from Miami. Yes it was a very disappointing loss and VT has GT in Atlanta to look forward to next week. VT has the defense to slow that option down and a good enough Offense to hang 30 on GT. I'm not sure if they will have the motivation after losing the Coastal in Miami.

Inclined to agree with you a lot of Miami's wins haven't been impressive and ND blowing most teams out. I like ND here

Why are we discounting the U's ability to pull out wins? That's all it matters.... Not saying that I like Mia here but just pointing to their grit.
We've all seen what happened to those high flying team beating up on people... Oh st, Penn st, OU, OU lite...etc.

The U has squeaked out a bunch of games this yr, kudus to Richt & co. In my opinion their "luck" runs out when the Irish come into town and push them around in the trenches.

Maybe we need a poll for this. Seems everyone likes ND. That would be a bit telling by itself.

Notre Dame is the only team who even had a chance to beat Georgia this year, and have rolled over everyone else they’ve played. Miami struggled against FSU and UNC. Disclaimer, I thought VaTech would do better for sure but Brian Kelly might actually be getting it finally and has stopped fooling around so much with throwing the ball. They are 3rd in the country in rushing yards, and Miami can’t stop the run. As CB pointed out, that OL is going to be the difference and while it might be close to start, though I doubt it, it won’t be close at the end. The only thing that scares me a bit, and I just threw him some shine, is the fact that Brian Kelly has shown an uncanny ability to be an idiot. His teams have lost to Navy twice, and won on the final drive in two other games. (Speaking of that, I won’t bet against Navy, but when that line comes out it won’t be high enough).

Just read this thread twice and appreciate the solid opinions usually not available here at RX with the high school
kids chiming in. I took VT last week thinking the Miami players might be looking to ND. Wrong and cost me $330.

Richt is on a mission to prove he can coach after being canned by GA. Hell, if he had showed this much desire and
energy he would still be with the Dawgs.

Home game and his kids are beginning to believe they are pretty good. ND is more talented but if I can get 3.5 I
will be all over the Canes.

There was something very shady about the Va Tech/Miami game last week. Regardless Miami was the better team that week and likely wins regardless. But the media coverage was very one sided. Gameday was in town and during the game they decided and announced they would stay in Miami for the NDame matchup which I found very odd and distrespectful to Va tech. It seemed like they had been waiting to announce that all game and the announcers were aware of it. Combine this with the coverage they gave which was totally lopsided in favor of miami...it was like Va Tech didn't exist even though they had an impressive season to that point. Not just that but there were a couple flags for PI on Va Tech that were absolutely mind blowing. Like I said Miami probably wins anyway but it seemed to me everybody from the conference to ESPN was rooting for and setting up for this matchup this weeek. Its like it had already been pre planned that it would happen and they needed to hype it and in order to do that Miami needed to win. Something I found that was troubling and am noticing more and more with ESPN and big conferences. They like to have their primetime matchups so they can hype it for ratings and the conferences play along. It just shows how TV ratings and media markets have a dominating influence on the sport now. Kind of felt bad for Va Tech who seemed like the red headed step child even though they have had a good season. Just my two cents

I like Notre Dame this week. They are so impressive at the line of scrimmage. I don't see how Miami will be able to stop their running game and conversely I can see Notre Dame containing Miami's running game with an impressive front line that did a solid job vs Georgia's fantastic running game. The only reason i like this play and not love it is because I have been very impressed with the Miami QB despite throwing a few picks last week. He plays much smarter than a freshman and has a very good feel for the game. He could give Miami a chance but my money will be on Notre Dame.

I've won with Dame a few times this year myself...their running game is impressive no doubt... But they're a one dimensional offense.... A good game plan with talents can beat them.
They will be blown out if they play against Bama, Georgia, Clemson...in that order

Like I said in an earlier post...this is one damn good thread. I agree with PeePee....ND playing an Alabama, Georgia would have a difficult
time winning.

Notre Dame is a crowd favorite nationally and will get the money. Playing in Miami so don't run from an over inflated line for the Canes.
