I keep seeing various amounts of gold bars attached to thread titles. Anyone want to explain to me how they got there and what they mean.

I evidently have some fan that rates every thread I start 1 star regardless of the forum or the subject matter, like clockwork

Mind-boggling to picture a grown man sitting at his computer eagerly awaiting the opportunity to try to diss a complete stranger in such a manner. Unbelievably pathetic.
