Bears favored over struggling Packers for first time in nine years
Jeff Dickerson

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The updated line from Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook on Tuesday lists the Chicago Bears (3-5) as 5-point favorites in their rematch against the Green Bay Packers (4-4) at Soldier Field on Sunday.

It's the first time the Bears have been favored over Green Bay since Dec. 22, 2008, when Chicago won 20-17 in overtime. Chicago actually was favored by 4 points on that Monday night and failed to cover the spread.

The change of heart in Vegas is due to Green Bay's current three-game losing streak without quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who suffered a broken collarbone versus the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 15.

Rodgers owns the Bears.

The All-Pro quarterback has had 11 games with multiple touchdown passes against Chicago, including eight games with three or more.

Rodgers is 15-4 lifetime against the Bears, including Week 4's 35-14 beat-down at Lambeau Field, in which he threw for four touchdowns.

But Rodgers' replacement, Brett Hundley, has one touchdown pass and four interceptions for a 58.3 quarterback rating.

The Bears are in the midst of a minor resurgence, having won two of their last three, but they still rank 27th in points scored (16.8).

So it's no surprise that the Bears and Packers have the lowest over/under total (38) of any Week 10 game on the board.
