My new undertaking .... identify all private tracks on farms and trainers using them.
In the picture we see 6 tracks. Only 1 is an official training facility which reports public workouts.
The other 5 are private and what goes on is anybodies guess as they are not subject to regulations.
There are about 200 official training facilities that report/publish workouts. Based on this image (and others that I have), there are approximately 1000 private farms that have tracks. Zooming in using Google (damn amazing) we see starting gates and can estimate usage based on surrounding equipment and land wear and maintenance at the time.
Using social media, we can try and gather more information. Of course, there are some that at defunct farms up for sale.
In just this last month I've identified 3 farms that have produced 1st out maiden winning longshots with deceptive worktabs designed to deceive the public.
This is a huge project. I was hoping to be done by end of the year but I can see that ain't happening.
