Not many coaches that would have continued to try and score there.

They were running the ball up the middle with the 3rd string rb.

It's pretty ridiculous that they didn't stop those runs. Everyone in the world knew they were just going to run up the middle.

Thank you Dabo, and I know how bad it sucks to be on the wrong side of that bullshit so nobody should go off on me

I'm sorry

What about the Michigan Over?

2 missed Fgs, Maryland 3 points on 2 possessions inside the 10.

Then on 3rd and 9 at the 18, after a screen play down to the 5 was just called back for holding, Michigan runs it down to the 5. Kneels on it to run out the clock.

If you were so concerned about not running up the score, why do you call a screen pass on 3rd and 9 from the 18??

Most coaches take a knee there with under a min left. It's pretty rare to see what he did.

So all I am saying......does he try to score with 15 sec left if he is up 45-10?

Maybe going for style points. Also maybe payback for vicious targeting call that FSU player celebrated with smiles and dancing with teammates and coaches. But it wasn’t padding stats. Swinney has as much class as any coach

with the BCS looking all fucked up this year, maybe he would

maybe these teams are going to try to run up scores, because no matter what people say, style points always matter

the BCS might be really really ugly this year, we might have an 8 team playoff as early as next year :)

Then why throw a pass on 3rd down the play before? That was my point.

If you aren't trying to score, then don't throw the ball.

He has never had any class so why look for him to display it now. What he did tonight he's done TWICE in the last 5 years just to Ga Tech alone, putting in an extra one to cover instead of killing the clock.

Didn't say anything about a classy coach. It looked more like he was trying to make the score better than the game he coached.

I don't think it's fucked up at all. If Wisconsin wins out, they're in. Same for OU. Same for Miami or Clemson. Same for Alabama, Georgia, or Auburn. That would give you four.

If one or more of those things don't happen, the problem won't be that there aren't enough slots for deserving teams; it's that there won't be enough deserving teams for the four slots.

You're saying he coaches his team to fumble in the red zone?

Dabo doesn't care about the spread or your bets.

Probably why Dabo will be the next Alabama coach. He does not give a rat's ass about
the line...just winning. As a Bama guy, learned early on Saban could care less about a line
on the Tide. Hell, loved the Tide but knew Bama had a coach who wouldn't run it up on
what most thought were wipeouts and should have been easy covers.

Then let's just have 4 teams make the NFL playoffs too if that's you're logic.

What is a "deserving" team??

Four teams isn't enough. 8 teams is right. Conference champions of the Power 5 and 3 at large. Yea, you can say how do you take the final 3. I would rather have that problem than what we have now. First round played at the home stadiums of the Top 4, final four played at the major bowls on a rotational basis.
