Like the Tortoise in Aesop's fable, they keep trudging along.....They pounded the stuffing out of Iowa today, the team that walloped Ohio State last week......The Badgers seem to walk softly but carry a big stick.

Degenerates maybe but I still love them.....they often make this old man's day......I try to see the humor in so many of their posts (your reply was great, it told me volumes about you, you've been around the block a few times). ....FWIW: I was a freshman at Madison back during the Fall of 1952...Ivey Williamson was coaching then....they struggled to play .500 ball....
Plastic helmets were just beginning to appear about then.....No face masks or mouth pieces.....Freshman were not eligible to play and the Single-Wing formation was still the offensive formation of choice (the tailback ran the show). The T-Formation was just beginning to appear in the NFL....Bob Waterfield of the LA Rams, Y.A Tittle of the NYG and Sammy Baugh of the Redskins were some of the first great T-Formation QB's......
Ron Dyane was one of the Badger all-time greats.....Alan "the Horse" Ameche, a full-back was the Badger Heisman winner back in 1953. Where in Wisconsin you from Cheddar ?
