Jones has been fired at Tennessee with the official announcement coming sometime today. Brady Hoke
is rumored to be named interim head coach.

Jones was making $4.11 million in salary and has an $8 million plus buyout. The 49 year old Jones was
14-24 in SEC games during his five years with the school.

The SEC dominos are beginning to fall...whose next?

I'm not a Vol fan but I never liked Jones. Just listening to him talk made my head hurt with all the dribble
sayings and clichés he spouted every other sentence. He'll rebound and coach somewhere but not at the
SEC level.

After Kiffin bailing after one year and the Dooly experiment...now Jones...maybe Tennessee should just
let Payton Manning pick a coach. With all the money he has poured into the football program, just thinking
he would do better than the committees of the past.

Just thinking out loud Tennessee fans. There's a coach at Washington State who has turned that program around
with primarily 3 star recruits.
Before that, he won consistently at Texas Tech with mainly 2 and 3star players.

With the facilities available in Knoxville, and a few 4 stars sprinkled in recruiting...the Pirate would win! Just saying.

CL, I think Leach would be a homerun hire for them. Not sure if their AD would want a guy w/ that type of personality though. I want to know what the hell took so long to can butch? I know the buyout was/is an issue, but there was no reason to wait after the UGA game. Norvell over at Memphis would be a good fit, so would Jeff Brohm (they should have hired him last year).

Just don't think Leach wants to leave the Pacific northwest for the stress of trying to win at Tennessee. Most anyone is a huge upgrade over Assclown Jones at this point

Stress my ass? The guy gets run out of Texas Tech because of an ESPN contributor's son and he fights the BS and
takes a settlement and packs up his family and moves to Key West, Florida.

Before WSU came calling...he helped out with a high school team in Key West. Stress my ass!!!

Anyone who thinks Leach is a "Candy" do some research.....you will be enlighten.

OK Coach my friend. Who might the Gators be seriously considering?

New facilities in Gainesville give the RIGHT hire a big advantage.

Until recently, Florida didn't even have a covered facility that every other team in
the SEC had to practice in. DOES IT EVER RAIN IN FLORIDA?

This year ? Only about every-other day....Wow ! never realized that a "heavy-weight" program such as Florida didn't have a covered practice facility.
