I believe Akron's QB is out. Double check me on that.

Ohio's defense is over a 100 ypg better than the Zips.

I like Ohio if it's true Akron has QB issues.

I heard on the radio last night that the Akron QB broke a team rule but Bowden said that the beauty of college football is that he doesn't have to disclose if he's playing or not until gametime. That's the latest update I've heard.

Akron QB Woodson was suspended last week so he should suit up today... no injury listed. Don't forget they kept the game close last week with a backup QB on the road.
Akron also needs another win for bowl eligible so there's motivational factor... and they played close vs. Ohio last 3 years.

I laid the points with Ohio. Akron throws the ball about 54% of the time last 4 games, which is a lot compared to most teams. Ohio pass D ranked 21st according to my stats.

Ohio on the other hand, is a predominantly run oriented team - 66% rush last 4. Akron has trouble stopping the run, giving up 216 per game last 4.

It is a road game, and it is for that half of the MAC championship basically, but Akron doesn't match up well here. Also, Akron plays Kent State next weekend, so bowl eligibility will most likely be secured there.

    Here is a great system...

Akron lost to Miami Ohio 24-14..... Ohio beat Miami Ohio 45-28, therefore: Akron will beat Ohio (or at least cover)

    i like it!!

MAC games look great to bet in midweek, looks like real football, players wear uniforms, the teams have vegas lines and power ranking stats.

However, I've given them up after I added up how much I had lost on small mid week "fun" bets.....

The favorite in the other game today only covered because Kent went for it on 4th down and 20 from their own 19 and got sacked.

Even better was the possession before when they had the ball around the CMU 5 after an interception. One play bad snap and another sack and they go backwards 25 years instead of scoring.

Hats off to Akron and a very dynamic offense. Not sure if it is the "MAC factor" (where no logical handicapping makes sense sometimes on these games), a letdown off big win for Ohio, or what, that is a performance from Akron offense that was not seen all year against a stout defense. Difficult to predict something that you haven't seen happen before. Akron broke 30 against I-A opponents only twice, against Bowling Green and Ball State, the 2 worst in the MAC.
