Nebraska’s next coach is...

Many say Scott Frost who is a former National Champion QB under Osborne but are there better candidates to turn around a once upon a time fearful dominating program?

I wouldn’t discount Chip Kelly. Nebraska has unbelievable facilities for athletes but the current culture there is it’s biggest nemesis. The new AD has close ties with both Kelly and Frost and he’s all about fit. Frost is a familiarity fit but IMO Kelly is the best fit.

I like this guy. He’s a big believer in winning in the trenches. Nebraska had a culture at one time of winning games in the trenches. Big Bad Ass linemen and wear them down in the second half. Bama wins on this formula.

Stop. That would not go over well. That fat pig benefited from Wisconsin culture. Every coach under Alvarez wins, look how they do outside the program. Frost or bust.

You stop. Frost may not want to come on board. And if he doesn’t then who? Plan for plan B. Chip Kelly is already no way jose and now their are rumors of the Navy coach in the mix? Nebraska is not in the best of situations. If the Frost doesn’t happen then I guess Navy football is for Nebraska. With it’s facilities they will become the best option football program in the nation again. If that is the route then you have to put Paul Johnson in the discussion.

Whomever the next coach is will be in for a rude awakening. Nebraska football is pretty much irrelevant in the national picture. What 21st century kid not from Nebraska is going to choose playing in Lincoln if he can play in Florida, Cali or an actual top program? The last time Huskers were a title team, many potential recruits parents were even too young to follow them.

Getting Nebraska back on the map will take time for virtually anyone who takes the job.
