I placed a second half bet on Ky first 10 min of second half minus 3 1/2 and the ball is clearly through the cylinder by 9:59 on the clock and they graded it a loss and won't change it. Anyone have this problem
Two things: 1. Is it possible that the bet is determined by when the basket is registered by the official scorer, which might not be as instantaneous as the ball going through the basket? 2. I don't know if they're "official," but there are play-by-play rundowns of most games which include a time in minutes/seconds of when every point is scored. Have you checked one of those for your game to see when it shows the key bucket was scored?
I checked ESPN's play by play for the Troy game and it shows that KY scored to go up 63-42 (making KY +5 for the half) at the 10:05 mark of the second half.
However, if as you said, the ball went through the hoop to take Kentucky to plus-5 for the second half with 9:59 on the clock, wouldn't that be a loss? That's the first ten minutes plus one second.
NCAA first and next 10-minute results are determined from digital recordings of television broadcasts. The ball must be completely through the cylinder and net before 9:59 remaining for a basket to be official in the first 10 minutes of a half. ESPN.com, Yahoo.com, CBSsportsline.com, or any other play-by-play log of the game will not be used or considered for claims.
For the basket in question, the ball was only half way through the cylinder when the clock changed from 10:00 to 9:59. For the basket to be official for 10 minute wagering, the ball must be completely through the cylinder and net before 9:59 remaining.
