Duck, some asparagus side, and couscous for lunch
Turkey, twice baked taters, broccoli casserole for dinner

Both birds on the big green egg

The duck is crisping up right now while the turkey is getting started indirect on the Weber kettle
Will move the turkey over to the egg when the duck comes off

isn't Duck a little heavy for Lunch ??
I wouldn't be able to then eat Turkey

Due to my GF being in the hospital...and she's a great cook....there will be no Thanksgiving in the Bagiant household. Tomorrow we will eat at Benihana's and bring her a meal to go!

How is it best prepared?

I get a whole bird from the grocer. It's like $20 for a 4 pounder, which will feed 3 or 4.

Rinse with cold water, pat dry, season with garlic, salt, pepper, rosemary. I slice up an orange and apple and shove them into the cavity to keep it moist. At home I do it on the smoker, but you could roast it in the oven I'm sure. Probably 375 for an hour and a half. Make a basting solution of melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic. Baste every once in awhile while cooking. Carve it like a turkey and there ya go.

If I'm eating out I like it prepared confit. Pan fried in its own fat.
