It would be an epic, all out media frenzy if only the top 2 mattered this year...

It would be a fun debate to have here running the scenario's.

Is Wisconsin in if they beat OSU, regardless?

Is it dependant on Georgia beating Auburn.

It could be an intense debate with 4 teams, but let's play what if it was only 2.

Wisky vs. Georgia.....if everyone wins, followed by

Wisky vs. Clemson....if Georgia loses

Georgia vs. Clemson if Wisky loses

Oklahoma vs. Miami if Wisky, Clemson, and Georgia lose. At least that's my opinion of how it would look if they only took 2 teams.

If it was two teams, I could see them leaving out an undefeated Wisconsin. It is not like we did not see it before when Auburn got left out even though they were an undefeated SEC champion & that year Auburn played a much tougher schedule compared to what Wisconsin has this year.

How is a 4 team playoff going to bail out the committee?

Auburn could be left out with Alabama staying in the top 4. Precedent was set last year when they left out 2-loss Penn St. in favor of 1-loss Ohio St.

top 4 maybe still tough, but tough 2 would be way more intense.

I don't see them being bailed out at all.I see total chaos coming

I agree.

If Clemson beats Miami, they will be # 1.

Oklahoma wins they're # 2.

If Wisconsin wins, they're # 3.

If Ohio St. wins, they will become the 1st 2-loss team to get in.

Even if Auburn beats Georgia again, Alabama may not drop to # 5.

I think Auburn is going to get screwed.

2016 PSU did not dismantle the #1 ranked team twice in a 3 week stretch like AU just did.

I hope you're right, Harry.

The committee has favored certain teams for years. Alabama and Ohio St. are at the top of that list.

My only concern is both of those wins were at home, and I know how the committee values road wins. Blowing that 20 point lead @LSU really hurts, but ultimately I think their SOS will be enough if they beat UGA next week.

I want chaos, I want the league's and league champions and other teams left out to cry soooooo much that we get an 8 team playoffs, which is where it should be

There will always be somebody "left out", but teams 9+ have enough warts on their resume to justify leaving them off

while teams 5 and 6 are often times just as deserving as teams 3 and 4

I agree Willie.

It would make the Big 5 Conference Championships win and your in playoff games.

I don't think it would diminish the regular season at all. 8 is the right number of teams.

With only 4 teams, a Big 5 Champion will always be left out.
