Merry Christmas!

Today we are informing approximately 150 people at ESPN that their jobs are being eliminated.

We appreciate their contributions, and will assist them as much as possible in this difficult moment with severance, a 2017 bonus, the continuation of health benefits and outplacement services. They will also appreciate your support.

The majority of the jobs eliminated are in studio production, digital content, and technology and they generally reflect decisions to do less in certain instances and re-direct resources.

Fuck ESPN.

They should have stuck to sports.

Exactly... we watch sports for entertainment, and to take a break from everyday things going on in the world. But, when its a non-stop one way street of political leanings forced upon viewers watching, its time to change the channel

Did you guys hear yesterday Britt McHenry is being prevented from appearing on Clay Travis' show until her contract expires?

Remember, they layed her off some time ago.

Some multi billionaire needs to start their own sports channel.......2 channels, one will have what ESPN stood for years ago, & add all talk of sports betting in all sports, & have pro cappers cap games on TV. Now that legal sports betting is coming to the east coast, this would be a very popular channel.

The second channel would be a 24/7 poker channel, having live poker games, tourneys, etc.......& older taped poker tourneys, etc. Poker in the next several years will become huge, it will triple the players of what we had before the DOJ came along & closed all the sites in 2011. By next year, 4 states will be connected to play online poker.

ESPN is further alienating the fans of sports, & you can see it every day by stories like the one above......if some billionaire would start their own sports channels & stick to sports, it would destroy ESPN.

I've heard her on his show several times. I guess someone is taking retribution on her because they aren't happy with what she has said.
