Found this was interesting.

Basically says you should go for 2 point conversion if you are down 14 and score. Percentages are in your favor based on his article

And usually when you are down like that, you are taking some chances along the way...why settle for 1? If you miss...get it back on the next TD

This analysis was done a long time ago. Most coaches still refuse to use simple math in decision making even when the proof is laid out in front of them.
