4 teams is not right, IMO

You add one more week to the season and you get 8 teams. 8 teams is the perfect amount b/c then nobody gets left out. and even if somebody gets left out... I mean, come on, you're the #9 team in the country. this would also allow an outsider school that has no business being there to potentially make it

just extend one extra week and we get an 8-team playoff. that would perfect. 16 is too much and would take too long

it's time to move to 8 teams.

Already proved multiple times why Alabama does not deserve to be in & anyone saying otherwise is just lying to themselves. They played next to nobody & their one loss was by double digits to a team that went out & got beat by by double digits.

Ohio State a conference champ but has 2 losses. Honestly USC as a 2 loss team is more deserving. Yes, they had a ugly loss to Notre Dame but at least that was to a top 10 team & their other loss was to another highly ranked team by 1 score. Ohio State got their ass handed to them in both of their losses.

Still will not matter. Ala will be in.

This annual "invitational tournament", not NATIONAL Championship, will probably invite Alabama. Until all 5 conferences are represented, using the term national is a misnomer.

The five conference champions should get an automatic bid, and then this committee can choose three at-large teams to fill out the 8 team bracket. The sports networks have to fill up their airwaves with something, so they can argue about those final three teams.

It appears this years winner can be a 60% of the nation champion instead of an 80% of the nation champ.

doesn't matter what you think you proved or what I think , the committee had Bama at 5 coming in

Get Southern Cal in the 4th place of BCS, then have Ohio State play Bammy for a different championship, and have a split national championship..

You must have wrote this from ESPN last night,as its almost word for word what they were throwing out there. You like to talk about Alabama losing to Auburn by 13 points, yet you don't mention Ohio st losing to a lowly Iowa team by what, almost 30,you put them on the field together and Alabama wins, same with USC,put them on the field to play and Alabama wins, this is not an easy decision for them to make, but are you going to reward Ohio ST two years in a row by letting them in with 2 losses, after being let in instead of Penn st who should have gone in the playoff last season.Alabama has been number 1 just about all season until Georgia was put number 1 i believe the final 2 weeks of the season,Ohio ST was not sniffing that spot all season long, quit giving them a silver spoon, and let them know how it is to get snubbed like Penn ST did last year.

Alabama has zero impressive wins.
Ohio State beat #2 at the time Penn State, #4 Wisconsin and won their conference championship. I say put them in.

I said PSU should be in last year and so now that means OSU should be in this year even if the committee fucked up last year, as much as I don’t like that team.

Also, the committee should punish Bama for their scheduling. Seriously, the last time Bama won a true OOC road game was 2011. Fuck that, please schedule a meaningful true road game vs a P5 team. What are they hiding from? Are they Georgetown now? Are they scared to play in front of a hostile crowd? OSU could have scheduled some opponent on a neutral field yet they played OU in a home and home. If OSU beat FSU on a neutral field would we even be having this arguement? Same with UGA, played ND and GT on the road. The committee should reward teams for taking chances because that is what the fans want to see not playing FCS teams. Who would watch Bama vs Mercer except Bama fans and parents of the Mercer players.

Bama, they play one less conf game and added FCS Mercer at home in November? Sorry, Bama you finished your season at home vs a FCS chump and a loss yet you deserve to play for a ship vs OSU beating their rival on the road and beating the only undefeated P5 team on a neutral site? That should account for something.

And yes, the loss to Iowa is bad. But was it as bad as Clemson’s? Syracuse beat Clemson on Oct 13 and did not win another game. Syracuse is horrible yet the number one team lost to a 4-8 Syracuse team and nobody is talking about that. Does Clemson deserve to be higher than OU or UGA? If people are going to talk about bad losses they need to mention Clemson’s and how it should affect their ranking
