Upgrading

SF (-115) to 3 units

I know sharps and squares are both on HOU, per Scucci/Millman. But I will take it. They don't know Jimmy G like i do!

Like Jax too, but I am waiting to try and find a FH moneyline. SEA is a notoriously slow starter, but laying even half a point for a half-time spread is not very fun

Card so Far

TNF

NO TT OVER -- LOSS - 1.2 units

SF + 3 (-115) - 3 units
LA - 2 - 1 unit
ARI + 3 - 1 unit
Baltimore + 4.5 - 1 unit
NE -10 (-120) - 1 unit

Probably will add a Jax bet on some level. Lean NYG but a little scared since they should be in tank mode (unlike, say, Baltimore, who needs the Pitt game bad)

You trust the Ravens offense Chonce? I’ve watched them on a few occasions and Flacco looks like he’s struggling every time plus losing Smith on the corner tied in with a defense that although good against the pass struggles against the run and with Bell on the field it could be a long night and make it easier for Pitt to control the clock.

No, I would not say trust. I like them in this spot. If I have more time I can explain my rationale a bit more. I did give some reasons to LovestoKickAss, who was telling me I was a simpleton to pick them in a thread about line movement. But it is only a 1-unit play, so if you are squeamish, I fully understand. I like the spot, like a divisional opponent to keep it close, at least.

Add:

Jax (first half) ML (-130)

I like Jax for the game (-135ish depending on the shop or -2.5, but Wilson is a slow starter. He has thrown more 4th QTR tds than in all other 3 QTRS combined. so I will play the FH. But hate to lay -.5 since tie games at half are quite plausible, especially with these teams. So I will lay a little extra juice on the ML.

Best of luck to all!

Your record speaks for itself. fk the people doubting ur plays. GL this week chonce. I have the ravens in almost every single teaser. and I am going with my gut. I think the ravens keep it within a FG after getting their asses kicked by the steelers at balty this season.

I don't mind. I like having discussions. So I am cool with OfficialSono asking about the Ravens offense. LTKA was a little more undermining, IMO. But he added, "respectively," to his critique!. But really, it is cool. Thanks for the kind words. It is gambling. I am happy to win 54 percent of the time. This Ravens have a better than even chance of covering.

Here is my exchange which gets into some of my reasoning for B-more. But one can make a case for Pitt. I get that. I am not calling it a 100-dime lock of the year or some shit. Laying a unit!

Is this what professional players thinks? "Pitt has NE next week and even if they lose this week, a win would give them same record".

Respectively, think outside the box Chonce!

It is one of infinite variables, Loves2KickAss. I could list 10 reasons why I like B-more, but I fear you may respond with a bunch of reasons why I am wrong, not "thinking outside the box."

But Pitt isn't covering spreads. They aren't playing well. They are emotionally tramautized and physically weakened from injuries. Yet they keep winning so the public bets don't reflect the point differential, among other key metrics. They are giving up huge plays: More 50+ yard plays since Haden has been out they any other team. They play down to their competition. Even at home they looked bad against GB. Ravens 10-2 ATS in 12 divisional games, 6-1 in last eight divisional road games. They have, subjectively speaking, a huge coaching advantage.

And yes, it is a look-a-head game, to some extent despite being a divisional game. They don't "need to win it." It is human nature (it is also an argument for Miami, although since there are infinite variables, I don't like Miami). Baltimore needs it much more. Baltimore has won 5 of 6 and power rankings and public perception is still skewed by a bad start. But the first 4 games, we are learing -- in part due to new restrictions on practices -- is becoming more of an extended pre-season.

See: NE. They have the 28 or 29th defense is you count weeks 1-4. Yet, since week 5 they are 1st in scoring defense, 13th in yards. Above average, at least, not among the worst in the league.

Baltimore has won 4 of last 6 vs Pitt.

They might lose though. This is gambling. But if you like Pittsburgh I would urge you to make the case, rather than just pick apart other people's picks. But my .02 cents, respectively. Just think about it?!

I am upgrading LA to a 2-unit bet to reflect the new line. I can get +108 for -2 at 5 Dimes so to keep this simple, I will make that play 1 unit at -110 and other at +108 comes to -102).

So, amend bet

LA - 2 (-102) - 2 units

For my own benefit, my card so far:

SF + 3 (-115) - 3 units
Jax (FH) ML (-130) - 1 unit

LA - 2 (-102) = 2 units
ARI + 3 - 1 unit

Baltimore + 4.5 - 1 unit

NE -10 (-120) - 1 unit
