Phil Fulmer has been busy the past few days and should name a new head FB coach
in the next few days.

I'm hearing he is targeting Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker. Others said
to be of major interest are:

Kevin Steele, Auburn DC
Brent Venables, Clemson DC
Chad Morris, SMU HC
Les Miles, LSU former HC

Tucker looks to be the guy unless something changes in the next few hours.

Add another name to Tennessee's search.

It's being reported this morning that Alabama DC Jeremy Pruitt has emerged as a
strong candidate.

Who knows? I thought Tucker would have been named by now.

What a shitshow, disfunctional administration with no plan. Thought the point of firing a coach before seasons end was bc you had a plan? Vandy is the best job in TN.

Looks like Tennessee has finally found their man.

Jeremy Pruitt (Alabama DC) has been offered the job.

As a Bama fan, I hate to lose Pruitt!

Damn Bama cannot keep assistant coaches, how many have they lost in the last 8 years

You are right Path. Just the last three seasons...

Pruitt to Tennessee
Kiffin to Florida Atlantic
Smart to Georgia

I can't remember past that. Saban will now be facing Fisher (A&M), Muschamp (SC), Smart (GA), Pruitt (TN) all
former coordinators under him.

One of my best friends here in town is a Tennessee graduate and literally hates Alabama. He called me this
morning gushing about the Vols new coach. I reminded my friend that Pruitt is a north Alabama boy who
played and coached at Alabama. Didn't matter, "we got the right guy" he said. I agree Tennessee got
themselves a good one.

Pruitt's contract is for 6 years at $3,800,000 per year. He also would receive a $300,000 bonus for winning
the SEC and $500,000 for winning a national championship. He made $1.3 million as defensive coordinator
with Alabama during 2017.

I wasn't knocking Saban really. No doubt he's one of the GOAT. Just saying he comes off as a real hard ass and seems ultra-demanding, but sure that's one of the reasons he's so successful. I agree these guys are much better off having coached under him.
