Always thought Ortega was taller than 5'8". Has always looked long.. whereas Cub has looked like he is 5'4". But same height.

Rd 1 = Cub.... although that last ending might have pushed it

Same thing happened in last Ortega fight. He would've lost if the Brazilian hadn't decided to go dancing on the ground... Cub was dominating and then he fell into a trap.

Nah Ortega won rd 1. He probably ends the fight with another 10 seconds.

Such a nice sub to end it

Easy money

What a fucking loser. The better fighter by a mile.. and he falls into another goddamn trap and gets choked out.

It's sad b/c Cub knows he's better than Ortega.... domintaed the whole thing but then gets pretzeled. So sad.

But I knew it... my UFC picks are FUCKING SOLID!!! 10% win rate!

Congrats on your win.

Bro, I'm sorry but you're wrong. Ortega did nothing the whole fight except for the two choke out attempts. Punches was like 28-7 after the first round. If he hadn't of been locked up in the last 15 seconds of the round, you'd say it was Cub easy in the 1st round. The guy dominated both rounds but fell into traps at the end of each round...

Feel bad for the Brazilian guy b/c he was way better than Ortega but he fell into the same trap as Cub.

That's just how Ortega fights. He's not a great standup fighter. Him losing the fight until he gets a sub is how it is gonna go for him sometimes.

If you get ahold of a guys neck 2x in 2 rounds then it probably isn't fluke. He's a submission specialist.

You're watching something very different than the rest of us.

Ortega is so calm and smooth in there. He was never in trouble. Just laid in wait for the right moment.

He finished Cub with a standing guillotine. That is some rookie shit to get caught in,however,Ortega’s technique is World Class. Ortega is the better fighter, and the stand up has improved. 5 for 5 with finishes his last 5 fights. Shit is no fluke,bro...

Yes, he is a great fighter. But he did nothing, absolute nothing the whole fight except for those two instances. And that's all it took.

Feel free to post the after-fight stats.

You're making it sound like he was getting completely outclassed and Cub just made 1 small mistake and got caught. It isn't like Ortega was just getting destroyed on the feet, he was just weathering the storm of a 5 rd fight.

The fight was 8-9 minutes and he got ahold of his neck 2x and he was saved by the bell once. Getting a guys neck twice in 9 minutes is a lot. And if he didn't get him there, I think he would've probably got him in rd 3 as Cub appeared to be slowing down.

During the fight, I was gushing over Ortega to my son the entire fight. Was so impressed with his calmness, demeanor, defense, movement. Everything really.

It was like he was a lion just sitting there waiting to pounce at the perfect moment.
