I'm excited to get the Bowl Season Started. I'm going to keep all my picks for the Bowl Season on this one thread to make it easier to track all my plays from start to finish.
I'm feeling really good about a couple of games so decided to jump on them earlier in case of line movement. Depending on new information that may come out and potential line movement if I end up adding units to my picks I will update that as I go....here we go!
LSU -3......(3 Units)....this is a case of two teams going in the opposite direction. LSU finished strong and is excited to keep their season going, ND limped there way to the finish. LSU Defense is big and fast and will load up to stop the run which will force Wimbush to throw down field and just like Miami and Stanford game that won't end well - I like LSU big in this one.
Oklahoma +2....(2 Units)....I will add more to this especially if the line moves closer to 2.5 or 3....Ga beat ND early which is a solid win, even though ND not as good as people originally thought. Other than that they had 1 other legit team on their regular season schedule (Auburn) and they lost by 23....I get the fact that they ended up beating Auburn in the SEC Champ game...but that was a great spot for a revenge win against a beat up Auburn team that had ridiculous difficult schedule down the stretch and just came off the biggest win of any of those kids lives (not to mention Auburns best player, RB Johnson was no where near 100%)....Ga has a great stable of rb's and a solid D but they are a year ahead of schedule - Oklahoma will lay 30 minimum on anyone and in the end Ga will just not be able to keep up and is just not built to play from behind - so this just feels like 42-20 or something along those lines.
Penn State ML (-125)....(3 Units)...Penn State lost by 1 on the road in a classic against Ohio St and then had to go back on the road the next week and play Mich st in a Monsoon....with 4 hour in-game delay - they lost of a walk -off field goal and were forgotten about down the stretch. If things break a little different this team is talented enough to be playing in the final 4....they will be motivated to send Barkley off with a win and this team is building for next year as the qb and a lot of play makers will be back....Like Oklahoma, Penn State can lay 30 plus on anyone - and I just dont think Washington has the horses to keep up. Only concern is Offensive Cord. is gone for PSU but they promoted the heir apparent that runs the same system so they hopefully won't miss a beat.
Clemson +3....(2 Units)....I just don't get this spread (thought it would be Clemson-1)- Clemson is the defending champ, #1 seed, more battle tested team(this year), they have play makers all over the offense - a really solid young QB who is very athletic and can make plays with his feet and arm - and their defense (especially d-line) is arguably the best in the country.....yes I am happy to take the 3 points - thank you!
