African Americans supposedly voted for Jones 96/4 and supposedly represented 27% of the vote. Using simple math, they gave Jones a 322,000 vote plurality in an election he won by 10,000 votes. The democrats said they wanted to get out the black vote and they did and it put them over the top.

I pointed out in one thread that he was elected to the Alabama SC in 2011 (or 2012) with about 52% of the vote. That's about 20 points less than the Republican candidate usually averages. So he was a weak candidate before this year.
He was then removed from the state Supreme Court for ignoring a ruling of the federal SC, which isn't a wise thing to do
Having said all that, he still would have won the Senate election if it wasn't for the sexual misconduct allegations some 30 days before the election, times perfectly by the criminal corrupt colluding democratic propaganda machine, A/K/A our media
