I mean, why have training camp and classes... and study. Just fucking roll them out there and say, "Just fucking do what you want b/c you're going to fucking do it anyway. Everything we've taught you.. just fuck it."

To me , it shows why the NFL should adopt the college rule . 55 yd penalty in that spot is ridiculous

Well, yes, I've agreed with that for a long time. However, in college they can get away with murder and the offensive team is only awarded with rinky dinky yardage. It has to be somewhere in the middle. Or maybe they can make it a level 1 or level 2 foul like in the NBA.


I mean, if he was 100% open and the defender was a few yards and he just straight up tackled his ankles before the ball arriving.... maybe you can award a level 2 and advance to that position.

Better to maybe question the coaching staff who had the this guy alone deep downfield trying to cover the opponent's best receiver on 4th down with no help.

It needs to be the college rule. The nfl PI penalty is the dumbest in sports. It assumes the receiver will catch the ball.

Can’t work. Dbs will just tackle wr if they beat them downfield. Better to take a 15yd penalty than a 60yd completion.

It should be a 15 yd penalty and no automatic first down.

That's why I like the two tier idea.

PI1 = incidental interference = 15 yards
PI2 = clear and intentional interference and is a spot foul

Great idea but incidental ad intentional will still often be up to the discretion of the refs.
