They’re family for a reason...the only answer is never. Maybe if it’s a 2nd cousin haha but anything less you keep trying and trying and trying. We all make mistakes, some more then others but never a good reason to give up on family.

Kid=NEVER, no matter the offense
Parents=never, hopefully it’s not a parent
Sibling=Probably never
Distant relative=situation may matter some

I've been tempted to cut off all communications with my older sister. She is a real piece of work. She is retired now, but used to sing opera professionally. She is the epitome of a diva.

Lol, this thread might turn into a classic.

I see no mention of dogs in this thread. We never get rid of our dogs.... unless they got rabies or bite one of our kids. But if you take care of dog, that shouldn't happen.

My brother married a kunt and they subsequently cut away from my immediate family. After unsuccessfully attempting to turn the extended family against us, they've been ostracized from that group. It's been almost a decade. I don't really care, but I feel bad for my folks. There was some understandable issues but nothing worthy of severing ties with blood. Last I heard they were in there local news for suing the local PTA for something absurd. I thought about reaching out a few months back but my better judgement overruled.

Every situation is different and nothing is permanent.

A year or two of cutting them out can go a long way if they are really making you that miserable.
