Between injuries, suspensions and NFL departures, a crop of at least 10 Longhorns won’t be taking part in the Texas Bowl. Headlining the bunch is Malik Jefferson, who’s working through a turf toe injury, along with Connor Williams and DeShon Elliott, as each have turned their focus towards the 2018 NFL Draft.

For a Texas team that’s devoid of a Thorpe Award finalist at safety in Elliott, a suspended, NFL-bound cornerback in Holton Hill and may be without safety Brandon Jones, the potential for Missouri to pour points on through the air could easily prove costly for the ‘Horns. With Jefferson highly unlikely to play and Chris Nelson out with an elbow injury, the running game, too, is an area in which Texas may get gashed in a hurry.

Missouri lost it's OC and OL coach (both who would have called the plays) and HC Odom has defensive background, not sure how that will work with the Missouri offense.
MU played a very weak schedule it's final 6 games, U Conn, Idaho, and amazingly bad / lame duck SEC teams Tenn, VD, FLA, and Arky, 3 of which coaches were fired.
Missouri has an NFL potential QB Lock, and an OL that was green early in the year but gelled, so with the ridiculous # of players OUT for Texas they still are the play but keep in mind the issues with Missouri before you go to strong with them...
I HATE that coaches and asst coaches are allowed to be hired and abandon bowl teams, and I HATE that players with NFL potential are now sitting out bowl games, and I HATE that there are so many injuries these days that key players are missing big games.
