Despite taking a beating in mlb, overall books still won $9.8M in November

I think a bit misleading. Probably just based on cash in vs cash out. They are paying out props for season bets. Cash would have been taken in months earlier.

I don't know much about it. I'm sure others can shed light. Was told that sportsbooks don't even really make money. They have them to bring in people who later go on to lose at tables and slots. But....doesn't seem right as they could just lay off action that is lopsided, right?

They do just fine!

Believe me they would close them if they did not make money ..............lots other ways to get traffic in casino, but you really do not need it ,,

if not for August (maywether fight) they would be down a lot more year over year

august was up like 20% yoy

No. Casino can not layoff any action. it is not allowed.
