Meat grinder SEC (after 6-7 bowl record ly) moves to 0-3. Legit chance to go 0-fer this year. Sec fans praying to go back to bcs system!

Haha! Let’s go with the excuses! Can we have 4 years out of 5 with an actual playoff where a vaunted Sec team doesn’t win a championship...even in a year they were granted 2 positions in the field. As Pete Fiutak tweeted, Osu now has 4(!!!) better wins than Bama this year!

You're obsessed with this topic. If you have learned anything from the bowl to this point aside from the fact that there are too many of them it's that some teams just genuinely don't care about them.

SEC probably not as good this year. But the top 3 were still very good. Like Georgia. Lean Clemson. But it just seems right somehow that Georgia and Alabama face each other.

So basically you are saying a two loss Ohio State should have been in instead of a one loss Alabama. But last year a two loss Penn State team who beat Ohio State should not have been in the playoff. You can't have it both ways. Great logic.

Would be ironic if the OP lives in a pac12 state :103631605

Also funny that we are on a gambling forum where ATS is all that matters and both aTm and UK covered their spreads

All I am really doing is talking trash and riling people up. We are all a bunch of snowflakes. Of course the SEC is a really good conference with maybe the best player talent pool in the country top to bottom. And going 0-fer is not going to happen. I do honestly think clemson and Oklahoma win (if mayfield is healthy). The only reason I say muck like this is because ESPN rams the Sec down our throats. For about 10 years of whatever they were easily the best conference and we heard it all the time. So now I am just returning the favor. I do get tired of the “granted” best conference status the last 5 years when I don’t think there is much of an argument for that. The coaching and qb-ing has been mediocre at best beyond one or two of each each year with Saban being one every year. But living in the south, hearing trash programs parrot sec sec sec propaganda and live vicariously through one or two teams soured me. So now I take pot shots back. I do think Smart and Georgia help bring another rising elite program to the conference. I also think Bama was granted a spot in the playoff this year. They very well maybe the best or one of the 4 best but the eye test is stupid. We will see. And I can take my medicine if the sec wins out. I don’t bet with my heart but I really think there is a chance the sec goes like 1-8 or 2-7 or something this year. And I think despite getting extra help like they did in the bcs years, they will not win a championship for the 4th time in 5 years of playoffs. It was much easier to win all those championships when you had 10 teams in the top 25 of every preseason poll, didn’t move down when you lost to each other, and had 3-4 teams in the top 5-6 of every season ending poll. Hell it stilll happens in the playoff era to an extent. Anyway, here’s to a great playoff and not a bunch of blow outs!

The number 2-1 should be all you care about. That is, the sec is 2-1 ATS. Also mizzou gave their game away, Ms st most likely doesn't have a shot in hell missing their QB and coaches.

Someone mentioned "it's Bama and the rest" a while back which I laughed... SEC is top heavy but been down as a conference overall.... I firmly believed Bama will not dominated as they are if they play in Big10.... And the bowls results agree with me so far.

Espn may love the sec but fox sports sucks the big ten off too. Listening to Joel klatt or cowherd they just love the big ten, all depends on who you listen to. Honestly bowl results don't say much about the top tier teams until we get there. You can read too much into things and get caught up in it. Miss state doesn't have a coach or qb, probably gonna get steamrolled today. That doesn't tell me much about the sec.

The best was the weekend Bama dropped out of the top 4 and watching EsecPN try to defend them while they played MARIST!!
Within a few minutes and a redfaced Booger and Herbstriet they finally conceded that the SEC and Bama needed to stop playing FCS schools .... Classic moment of the season for me

Exactly. Lower level SEC teams have covered 2 of 3, and Missouri was a mess missing their 2 play callers on offense. SEC is still strong, maybe the strongest conference. Big 10 has looked good in bowls but won some squeakers (IA, Purdue, NW) and blowout Mich St was vs a scrub QB. Ohio State was impressive on D though their O was smothered by USC.

this is a betting site and if you bet against the SEC blindly you are 1-2 ... who gives a fuck what their conferences care about? if its important to you then take it to some gay-ass fan forum but around here we talk about betting numbers

not always. there's plenty of talk about SU wins and conferences that have nothing to do with ATS.

Haa... ok.... typical SEC fan.... sound like you pissed because of the 0-fer... won't/can't have a legit discussion.
Let's see what else they will come up with after Bama loses by 1 point... :think2:

Can't remember but I think it was you Rolltide that said "Bama and the rest...". I may be wrong... even if they win the NC I still don't think they can cake walk through Penn, Mich, Oh st, Wisc, Mich st.... and I'm not even a Big10 fan
