I was wrong. Thought OU kinda threw up on themselves but give all credit to Uga. They made adjustments and stuck to game plan and won in the end. As I said in another thread, I clearly did not give Bama enough of the mental edge. And experienced talent edge. Clearly the better team. I guess it should be a good championship game but I have nothing to offer at this point as I was clearly not as tuned in as I thought. Good luck to both programs. Both will be a bear the next 5 years. I hope as a Clemson alumnus and fan, we can do the same thing Bama did and learn from loss and not lose identity. Hopefully freshman Trevor Lawrence and Sophomore Hunter Johnson (if he stays) push Bryant to make him better—or they prove to be better. I think Etienne will develop into a star rb. We need one of the 5 Star wr to develop into the next Nuke, Sammy, Williams. Think Higgins or Overton can. Anyway, not ashamed of our season as I didn’t think we were a playoff team coming into the season so to make it 3 years in a row and win one and finish second in another is pretty damn good. And I don’t think we are goin anywhere. But again, I was wrong and Bama was clearly the better team.

Bama defense really surprised me also. Didn't think they would pull out that performance. Clemson recruiting is top 3-5 every year now, so they are not going anywhere. I still don't trust Hurts to complete a pass

Hurts gets a lot of crap but he is going to his third straight national championship game, within a second of a shot at a three peat. He has a great sense of exactly the type of player he is. Don't make mistakes, trust that your defense and running game are good enough to win the game. He may be just a game manager but he has a phenomenal sense of who he is as a player. Between the ears he is a great qb.

Hurts is in his second straight, sorry. Coker was the qb 3 years ago. Still think very highly of hurts. Not flashy but runs the game plan the coaches want and doesn't make the big mistake.

They scored 10 true points offensively. Take the two turnover scores out the Clemson Dline played decent. They just have a dogshit offense.

hurts get a lot of crap because he cant throw..

No, Hurts is not the greatest passer in the SEC but there's more to playing quarterback under
Saban than just throwing the ball. He does exactly what St. Nick expects him to do. Play smart
and protect the football (17 td passes with just 1 int), plus the kid can make plays with his legs
(808 yards/8 touchdowns) and does so often. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if he's MVP of the title
game just like he was in the semi-final against Clemson.
