With the exception of Israel every ME country would turn
on us if push came to shove. Iran is no different than any
other Muslim country. That's just reality.

Maybe so but for whatever reason the people there for as long as I can remember have always had a strong liking to Western culture which I understand goes against the Muslim grain. I think it's just that they are more as a majority more moderate, an unfriendly friend.
