I was 15. Made $5.25 an hour in the kitchen at a pizza joint. Was worth it. My first experience with the real world.

$7/hr for a landscaping/maintenance company. My favorite memory was raking up some leaves off some cellar steps once, I hit a fucking hornets nest that was under the leaves. Was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I must have got stung a good 15 times. A couple up my leg near my jewels. I ran like a crazy maniac screaming and cussing back to the main office.

I'm an old mfer...1st full-time job paid like $1.75 in 1972. Worked for a company that made steel shelves. Hard work. I think this was before OSHA and I worked right next to this machine that punched holes in steel. Loud af. Actually have hearing loss from it.

1967...working for a dry cleaning outfit delivering the silks to harness drivers at Atlantic City racetrack....1.65 an hour plus tips....

My first ever job was when I was ten years old....selling the Philadelphia Daily News on the AC boardwalk...made 3.5 cents on every paper I sold...The paper sold for ten cents....at the end of the day after selling around 100 papers, I thought I was rich....this was 1961....When a customer gave me a quarter and told me to keep the change, I was ecstatic.....played a lot of pinball at the end of the day...back then teachers were selling ice cream on the beach during their summer vacations....

$4.25 an hour in 1992.

Summer before my senior year in HS. Worked a summer program for the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Most of my time was spent trimming weeds around guard rails up and down Interstate 17.

Sucked.

I remember working 10 days at the state fair and got a check for like $210. I remember thinking how loaded I was but looking back now, WTF?
