Yeah, I know they were having problems earlier today if that is when you tried.

Pretty sure they are still taking new members though.

And ya, 4th and 2 was the right move. You're talking probably 60% chance to end the game vs about 35-40 yards of field position with 1:51 left.

Also, if Car scores fast with the easier field position, you are also more likely to get 1 last chance to drive for a FG.

exactly .
its nice to have a head coach who gets it.

There are probably only 2 or 3 coaches in the nfl who would make that 100% correct move . Belichick is one of them.

Somewhat like that time they did it against Indy when Peyton was in his prime

I think the call is fine man. Also keep in mind their D had been shredded for most of the previous 3 quarters besides a few stands in the RZ.

And the ball is in Drew Brees hands on the 4th and 2.

I mean, it's a no brainer really.

agree, those may be only 2 guys...most youth coaches are better game managers than NFL coaches and I am not kidding (NFL coaches know more x and o)

Wrong move to run on 3rd (and 2) if you were willing to pass on 4th. And if you were going to pass on either of those downs you should have short accurate passing routes, not a midrange sideline pass. Punt was the move on 4th down. Pin them back and let your defense do its job. Panthers needed a TD. Plus if the dope corner had just knocked the ball down instead of picking it, Carolina would have started from midfield with over 2 minutes. That 4th down pass call was dumb as dumb gets.

I love the call, seen too many teams punt in those situations and still let the other team drive the length of the field

How dumb (unaware of the situation) is the guy who caught the pic while heading out of bounds? Cost his team 20 yards.
