the war on drugs has limited the true expression of musicians these days that's why the music sucks and the shows are garbage

halftime shows have always been bad. you prob think worse now because most are hip hop related and while I like hip hop music, there has never been a good hip hop performance live (other than Busta Rhymes)

There really are no good entertainers at halftime for seniors my age, who remember the Golden oldies.... Honestly, some are not not real bad even though, I have never heard of the groups... But I can say one thing; THE halftime show for the college football championship was by far away with no close 2nd the absolute WORSE thing I have ever seen. (to me) .

Don't you like to get down to 10 year old girl music? you should go to a Nickelodeon Summer concert instead of watching a football halftime show. Back on topic - The NC halftime show was a tragedy

Halftime shows are for the women. and pre game too. and commercials. and while I am at it - I will say that nobody should be on the sidelines (women) - if they weren't passionate enough about the game to listen on AM radio at some pt in their lives. That's my version of the sport anyway. Give me a basic intro to the teams, some relevant updates, a little color commentary - then kick the damn ball off and let the men play the sport.

For someone who has “given up the nfl”, and told us this ad nauseum you sure love to talk about the NFL with the best of them.

To answer your question...I don't.

All a matter of opinon. Different ages are going to like different music. There aren't a lot of entertainers anymore that can crossover to different generations. I liked at least half of those shows over the last 15 or so years. And I also thought Bruno Mars was fabulous (had a little Michael Jackson in him). So I think he's up to 5 yeas at this point. Different strokes for different folks (as the song goes).

And I would agree with this...

For someone who has “given up the nfl”, and told us this ad nauseum you sure love to talk about the NFL with the best of them.

When I’m in football mode I really don’t want to listen to any kind of music even if it is halftime. These flashy compressed stage shows distracts me to where I hate it usually. The only halftime show I ever thought was well done was by Prince. That is the only one that sticks out in my mind as being the best of them all.
