I need to lose some weight and get into shape. If I try and stick to a diet I end up just over eating whatever food I'm allowed to eat. This isn't strictly about trying to lose weight as I know there are better/more efficient methods. I just want to try something, it is very possible that I fail at this by lunch time tomorrow. I'll post one update on this each morning on how the previous day went and what I'm noticing. I'm sure I'll be tired the first week as my body adjust to the carb deficiency. Wish me luck!

Just eat one big meal a day around dinner time and you will lose weight. Start with a big salad then your meal. No calories through-out the day other than dinner time. I've done it before and lost plenty of weight and retained strength and muscle. Not easy but worth it.

Look up Intermittent Fasting or The Warrior Diet.

do you work out any, like playing tennis or imo this is a good thing to try, join a club in your area that has a indoor pool and get in the water daily, this will help big time, a diet is one thing , but you need other things to get this down and to kept it down

How about you eat less and sweat more. That's the tried and true way to lose weight. Cut the shit that isn't realistic.

I want to wish you luck.....But when you say this....very possible that I fail at this by lunch time tomorrow.

It's a dead end for you my friend.

It takes hard work, consistency and dedication.

Sorry bro

Not sure I understand.

You think you can't eat at all until the Super Bowl??

Yes, that's the plan. I have a juicer and will do that some for breakfast or maybe an early dinner. Will obviously drink a ton of water to keep myself full as well.

If you knew me, you probably wouldn't even think I needed to lose weight but I know I'm about 40 pounds from my prime. This is as much as some competition within myself as it is anything else. A challenge to myself you might say. I spent plenty of years working out and training for athletics as I played sports through college. Guess I just want to try this...we'll see how it goes.

Haha, thank you for this post. It is motivation like this that I need! I'm just being realistic that it is more then likely that I will fail...but I won't know unless I try. Figured posting here was a good way to hold me accountable as nobody in my life would think I needed to lose weight or set a goal like this. If I didn't stick to it they'd probably say good you didn't need to do this anyways.

Yes, I am a member at Lifetime (I think this is a national chain) which has large indoor/outdoor pools, rock climbing and indoor basketball courts. I will play some basketball and work out there in the mornings. I think working out while doing this will help keep me motivated.

You will need to drink plenty of fluids (extra) if absolutely no food.. I have thought of trying this myself as I'm about 20 -25 lbs overweight.... I tried skipping breakfast and just having a 2 other meals..My problem -weakness is snacking... and not on Apples... But keep us up to date and good luck!

Thank you you for the words of encouragement. I plan on being at the gym at 5AM tomorrow morning and beginning the journey to the Super Bowl.

I've been practicing intermittent fasting for years. Before it was popular. Works like a charm and I feel great
