Imagine that, our media is more biased than Russia and OPPRESSIVE GOVERNMENTS

I'm not surprised at all, we literally have a democratic propaganda machine

They're dishonest about everything, from politics to sports to entertainment to local stories, lies lies lies lies and lies

There are more people misquoted than quoted accurately, it's all bullshit all the time

If somebody is paying attention and looking for it, you can usually spot the bias within the first paragraph of any story

Nearly all media in the US is completely bias and bullshit regardless of political affiliation. It’s a complete waste of time, but too many people enjoy watching shit that spews their message/agenda, regardless of accuracy. Then they run with as if it was factual.

Ok, so if I were to read this correctly....

24% of the people were neutral

Of the 76% that had an opinion, 21% felt like the news supported the party in charge, 55% said they did not.

Pew is saying they did a good job. I'm assuming they're saying that you should be neutral and not support any party and therefore you would want a high number on the latter?

Run with to many stories without having solid facts. It's the way of the new world of hot takes, click bait, and having information at your finger tips.

I read it as PEW is saying our media has a 34% net negative converge of our government. Which is two things

1) By far the biggest negatives found in media coverage

2) The most one sided coverage in either direction. Israel is the only other nation with a significant negative coverage at -26% and Sweden has the most positive spin at 24%

I guess it depends on the interpretation, but I definitely think Pew is giving a thumbs up to the media coverage (even says so above it). I don't agree but that's what it looks like to me.

I read the article again, couldn't find what you were referring to. So I went to the actual release by Pew, they said people clearly believe the political news is biased and that people think that's wrong. They did say the news does a better job of reporting on other topics, just not in the political arena.

Trump is really not an idiot.

I can deal with him saying stupid stuff as long as he stays the course in the policy arena.

Much better than having an eloquent president that gets everything wrong on policy

When it comes to the economy, I like mine growing. When it comes to the border, I like mine more secure. When it comes to wages, I like mine increasing. When it comes to enemies, I like mine defeated. And when it comes to politics, I like bluntly honest and effective as opposed to nuanced and politically correct and and intellectually dishonest and destructive.

Gotta disagree with that ranking system. There's no way Canada can be ranked 4 least biased media! The CBC our national publicly funded news network is so pro-liberal it's not even debatable! Case in point, Trudope is the only sitting prime minister ever to break a federal ethics law and it barely makes the news, yet when Conservative senator Duffy over spent 90G's it made national headlines for months! He had 34 BS charges against him during the election and not a single one stuck! Orville Redenbacher squanders billions to buy votes and no charges against her and barely in the spotlight! Our media is just as bad as yours down there!

Actually Willie, from the graph you posted in the original post..."News organizations in our country are doing well at reporting different positons on political issues fairly". Like I said, I don't agree with it, but they do seem to be giving a thumbs up to the media.

BFL my friend, that's the issue of the poll, not the conclusion

Go to the link I provided and then go to the Pew release link found in my link

late night?

OK, got it. Misread it. Although at looking at the Pew article, it stills says 52% think they are doing it well (would have to wonder who those people are...but it's clear the majority are Democrats).
