Pittsburgh Field Conditions

Just a little info about Heinz field. 10 days ago turf was replaced inside the numbers when temp was in single digits for a week after . One wouldn't think that was wise but I'm not an expert on this kind of grass growing as I would think sod would be dormant this time of year in this weather. However before they covered the field on Thursday , the playing surface looked better than the sidelines. Is it possible they colored it for TV ? IDK just putting info out there for your own interpretation.

Just my 2 cents worth the Jags probably wont like the field conditions cold and turf will probably come up as Heinz always have have bad fields imo.Load the box and make Blake Bortles beat you.

That’s not good.
Rose Bowl ruined the grass and they replaced it for the Atl-Rams game and it was a disaster. Players slipping all over. No roots.

exactly. field recovers way better in Cali than sub 20 weather in Steeler Country.

Does field have radiant heat if not gonna be a rock

yes it is heated but gotta be loose as hell.Bad field hurts better team and I don't see Rooneys spending money just for 1 game . does anybody know if the NFL takes over all playoff games.
