Just bad decisions

1) calling a timeout after Ben ran for a first down. You need two scores and another possession, timeouts are more valuable than a lost down in that spot. Have Ben spike the ball and go to 2nd and 10

2) The onside kick put the nail in the coffin. Two timeouts plus the two minute warning, kick it deep. Chances are Jacksonville plays it conservative and you should get the ball back with around two minutes around your own 35 yard line and only down 7.

Not very good decisions

Agree.

But the bigger story is Jacksonville kicking the shit out of the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Physically dominated them for most of the game. Steelers really did miss #50.

Yeah, Tomlin really took any chance for the B's heroics out of their hands. Just bad coaching. It seems we see these coaching errors all too often to pay these guys like they do

Big Ben kept them in the game, a lot of people say he's too old and washed up...but he lit up Jax. Pitt better hope he doesn't go anywhere anytime soon

Kinda sucks Jville won, was looking forward to NE/Pitt part 2.

JVille D is nice but they haven't been great this year against pretty good QB's and up.

Jaguars +8.5

Wow so easy.

I'll dip into the 401K for that bet.

Talk about a team that will fall very hard and very fast. That is Pitt when Ben leaves. Black head coach, no qb succession plan, overated defense. A running back that thinks he matters.

I thought the same on both counts. Patriots fans should feel good about getting the Jags. I fully expect Bortles to wake up next Sunday and look in the mirror and see Blake Bortles and wonder.....WTF am I doing here.

to me this is loss is on the defense. At home, playoff game and you get 45 pts scored on you! no way you can win any game like that.

Another bad Tomlin decision: down 14-0 he went for a 4th down instead of kicking the field goal to make it 14-3. Needed to get on the board at that point, but gave the momentum back to Jax. And, he chased that 3 points all afternoon.

I would love to know the real true ( full truth and nothing but the truth) on the decision to let Harrison go. Sometimes things unseen can have unforeseen affects elsewhere on a team level...and I have no idea. Yes, Tomlin made mistakes today, but he's a local guy on the news here frequently and does a lot for the community, where he grew up.
