If Minny makes it, I don't think it's all that much of a "REAL" home field advantage. The NFL controls most of the tickets for corporate reasons and like everyone else, Minn fans will have to pay going rate of 2500. a seat. So how lopsided can it be when the opposite side has just as much of a chance to buy seats?
Minny hasn't been to the SB in 40 years though. And they've never won 1. All that $ that would normally go to lodging, airfare, food and every other travel expense their fans will be able to spend on tickets. It's going to be like 2004 when the Eagles made it for the 1st time, except it will be in their own backyard. I think people are underrating how much of a homegame it is going to be for them.
I think if they were playing different teams in the superbowl it might be less of a HFA but the Pats fans don't travel that well for these things because the sheer # of times they've played in the game already (and no one is dying to go to Minnesota in February) and JVille has no real fan base.
If it was Pittsburgh in the game then it might be different since their fans travel really well and it has been 7 years since they've been in the big game.
