Will Trump and the people get what we need ? The proper security measures and the end of chain migration/lottery ? and if not , what happens next ? My opinion is we can't settle and Trump needs to keep this issue front and center. pressure needs to be applied

One of Trumps rules in the art of the deal:
Don’t be desperate. The worst thing you can possibly do in a deal
is seem desperate to make it. That makes the other guy smell blood,
and then you’re dead. If you can't get what you want be prepared
to walk away.

He did that with repeal and replace and I suspect he'll do it again
with immigration. He'll use leverage. The Dems want something, he wants
something, if Congress passes legislation that doesn't give him what
he wants he'll just veto it until he gets it. He doesn't care what the
ramifications are. If the government has to be shut down, so be it.
