I think it's been overplayed and the marker overreacted. Brady doesn't need to throw a deep ball to beat the Jags team. The blueprint has been posted by Warren Sharp and I shared the link. Pats will dink and duck this Jags D into submission

And Tom Coughlin has the blue print to best the Pats in not only 1 SB, but 2.........& he will use it again to help the Jags, now whether they win SU, I hope so, but I gladly took +9.

As for Brady's injury, Hoyer took all the reps Thursday, & anyone that knows Brady, knows he's OCD when it comes to preparing for a game, & takes every snap.

I don't know how bad his injury is, but I don't think the Pats are playing mind games.

TCG.. are you really betting on that??? Tom Coughlin...!! He hasn't coached since 2015 and his last 5 years in the league he was 37-43... I know he beat the Pats twice, but to base a lot of stock in that, is reaching a bit buddy...I just respectfully disagree...

You have to have the personnel to pull it off first and the Jags do. Now they just need to gameplan and execute on Sunday. If Brady can'tgo over their heads, Jags can keep everything in front of them, force a few punts and shorten the game.

Lol, no, but it helps to have Coughlin on your side......Jags have the top defense in the league, Brady is not gonna throw around like he did with Titans. Jags defense is why I'm Betti g on them, & Coughlin is a nice bonus. Bortles is also mobile, something Pats are terrible with.......obviously we both have our own angles on what each team will do or how they can win cuz we're on opposite sides.

No, but Mike Felger (who covered the Pat's for the Herald for many years back in early 2000s and is now a radio host on the #1 drive-time show in Boston) said the report is "4 stiches, no ligament damage, should be fine." One source, he said. But Felger hasn't broken news since his newspaper days. I doubt he is wrong about this.

All that said, the probable conclusion is probably "Brady will play but how much will his hand effect him." And really not even he knows that answer. But he did practice today and reports are he did well. He wore two gloves to the press conferece and refused to say anything. He was either trolling or hiding something on his hand.

I think the line movement is right. The Pat's were big favorites. After this news, that are big favorites, but less big, because there is added liabilty with Brady. I see it as a possible opportunity. Pat's - 7 was available for a bit. If in fact Felger is right. That is a decent line for the Pat's who are dominant at home and who don't give up a lot of points anyway.

The Pat's would give him the reps if was perfectly healthy. Clearly he is not. I just think the question is gauging Brady's level of play. I doubt we see Hoyer play. Obviously anything is possible, but the NE media is not getting those impressions. And Brady did practice today. And did an interview. Belichick doesn't let players who don't play interview that week.

All that said, the Jags were and capable of winning this game with a healthy Brady. I agree with that. I don't think it is probable, but their are some plausible scenarios where that defense disrupts them with a 4-man rush, ala NYG. Surely possible. But not likely.

No ligaments damage... 4 stitches on throwing hand
As of now, Brady is listed as questionable.

Most medical personnel indicates it should not affect Brady's throws... but market fluctuate based on perception.

Agree, classic over reaction... looking at the # of bets at SI, 38k bets on the jax/pats game... only 25k bets on the minny/phiili game..

they are running to the window to hit the jags...on the "news"

It would not surprise me by game time once everyone see Brady throwing in pregame it would go back to 8-9. Pats backers should jump on the 7 as of now.

I’m pretty sure Felger is good friends with Jonathan Kraft.

The move to 7 is obviously significant, but the move from 48 early in the week to 45 now is even more telling about the injury. I still think they can beat the Jags with Hoyer if it comes to that. Asking Bortles to play back to back games on the road in the playoffs with no mistakes is like asking a C- student to get admitted to Harvard. Not to mention, the Pats defense actually has better points and yards allowed numbers than the Jags from week 7 on. I believe only 2 of 11 opponents have scored 20 points or more on them since then. Prior to that they were a dumpster fire, but they appear to have turned it around.

I have no dog in this game (yet) but every Jax backers I've read seem to mention only about how great Jacksonville defense is but they seem to forget this same defense yielded on average 32 points on the last 4 road games while the Patriots defense allowed 12 points for the last 6 home games
