The Eagles have absolutely no chance to win this Superbowl. The Patriots will be ordained champs again.

There, I said it and I meant it.

With that said, the New England fans probably didn't want to hear me say that because I have been atrocious on picking winners on Superbowls (my last winner was with the Seachickens versus the Broncos), and prior to that, it was on the Saints versus the Colts. So I think I've gotten like 2 Superbowls right in the last 10 years. So this should put a smile on the faces of Eagles fans.

I am not a buyer of Nick Foles, don't think the Patriots care about this whole "underdog" thing (it's not like they haven't been a favorite before) and I think even if the game is close, Brady will pick apart the Eagles defense in the latter part of the game (similar to what he did versus Jacksonville) and they will win yet another Superbowl.

Patriots 27 Eagles 21

Lock it up!

John Towers says no way NE wins! He says NE will not even score! He says NE will not cross the 50 yd line! He said they will go 3 and out on every possession! He said Brady’s wife will leave him after the game and ask John to pick her up!

I'm a die hard eagles fan. Obvious bias, but I think we have a real chance against the Pats.

Its not all that impressive to beat the Titans and Jags at home. Probably the easiest route to the Super Bowl.

Our greatest advantage is this game is offensive and defensive versaitility. Belicheck greatest tactic is taking away the offensive star and having the surrounding cast beat them. Who are they going to focus on? The two pounding running backs or Alston/Ertz as our possession receivers or the 2-3 guys we having going deep?

On the defensive end, we are so deep with pass rushers that will be fresh and doing what Brady hates most. Hitting him. Constantly. Plus one of the best defensive coordinators in football.

Pats defense is slower this year.

Doug Pederson not one to sit on a lead either as shown by the half time drive against Minnesota with under 45 seconds left.

Foles vs Brady though. Line makes sense.

just my two cents, obviously you could have a perfectly reasonable counter argument for why the Pats win.

Why would the league care who win's the Super Bowl? Philly is a major sports market and they would have no issues with them winning.

He is a Steelers fan, & Pitt fans hate Philly fans, & vice versa......I live in Pa, I know all about it. But maybe he thinks the refs & leagues are in cahoots to give Brady another ring......but I just read a story today in the NY post stating Brady will continue to play onto his 40's, so he has plenty of time to win another ring if he loses this one.

Is this a reverse jinx thread Body? We Philly's backers appreciate it.......

You can call it what you want, but I truly am terrible at picking Superbowls. Had Jacksonville won, I would have been sitting pretty with a futures wager on them that would have paid $2500 and the NFC +3 that would have paid $800 (I would have hedged it to guarantee at least $1500). Now I'm stuck with a wager I don't love and a pointspread that is worst than I could have gotten. And there's really no way to truly hedge out of it.

maybe BFL is just tired of losing money betting against the Patriots in the SB

He just told us he lost betting against them in 2 of the last 3 SB's :)

PS: of course the Eagles have a chance, but they're going to have to beat Brady the way the Vikings beat Brees. Take the lead without giving Brady time to come back again

Foles will have to play very good too, just like Bortles did

PS: the Eagles aren't home this weekend either :)

I said what I said as that is how I feel. And actually TCG, I like the Eagles. It just "FEELS" like the Pats are supposed to win. 3 games that I remember this year that the Pats win on "Questionable" plays. And then to watch the officiating in the AFC Championship game, its just hoe I feel. More than anything, I am sad. I am usually excited about the Superbowl, but I'm not sure I have any real interest to watch at this point.

I hope you all do very well on the game!

Fair enough & point taken......we may see another Patriots come from behind ala the Jags game......Philly has the lead going into the 4th Q & captain come back does it again.......possibly a Pats by 3 point win, but I really would like Philly to win SU, Pats are trying to tie Pitt with 6 SB rings, & they may get it........but after last years come back & cover over Atlanta in OT, I don't see the Pats covering this year.

I love the captain comeback talk. No one brings up how the defense held the Jags to 30 yards and punt after punt after punt. Any half decent qb scores eventually especially with the field position in their favor. Same thing w the comeback against the falcons. Would have thought Brady was playing linebacker and safety along w quarterback. The strip sack started the comeback.

Halftime adjustments, Belichek is the best. Pats defense didn't look too good vs Bortles in the first half or ATL in the first half in last years SB. And IMO Matt Ryan managed the superbowl and they still were up 28-3. But we are talking about the worst 2h team in the history of the NFL..I am starting to think this isn't just over the course of two years....it is over the course of Matt Ryan's entire career. Seattle/Atl divisional rd. Wasn't ATL up a shit ton vs Russel Wilson? When ATL lost to SF in the CC game in 12-13, wasn't ATL up like 21-0 at one point vs SF? And SF came back in the 2h? Not really a surprise when you realize how bad ATL is in the 2nd half of games. But a 28-3 lead yeah that's a surprise considering all they had to do was take 3 knees after the Julio Jones catch and then kick a FG and the game was over. But they wanted to pass and stop the clock.

All that Matty Ice talk is one drive... not one half. All of his comebacks were probably after they let the other team back in it. They can't close. They suck.

I haven't looked yet but I bet you ATL hasn't scored more than 10 pts in a 2nd half more than 3 times all year. I could be wrong, just a hunch. But to my memory they don't score more than 10 pts in a half very often. Only teams they probably are capable of doing it to are in their own division because they know them so well, but that isn't even guaranteed. They are so bad in the second half it is truly amazing. It will keep on happening too. Fade them 2h or take their unders 2h, guaranteed profit if you can cypher between which will hit in that particular game. My god they are bad coming out of halftime. Never seen anything like it in my entire life.

Can anyone think of a game Matt Ryan led a big comeback in, more than two scores? I can't. Probably did it very early on in his career but I don't remember it.

Chargers, Bills, Dolphins this year all came back vs ATL down multiple scores in the 2h to beat them. LMFAO. Yeah Tom Brady is wonderful lmao. He can come back from anything....... so can Jay Cutler, Phillip Rivers, and Tyrod Taylor apparently.

Eagles coaching staff on the other hand is exceptional I'm telling you.
