Hello everyone.

Im curious to hear what stats or capping factors matter most, to deciding on what side of the line you are betting with New England -5.5 or Philly +5.5.

Please give feedback.

Thanks

Here is a useless stat. The team in white has won 13 of the last 14 Super Bowls. Pats wear white in this years super bowl.

They said on radio patriots are 15-0 in playoff games when they play against a team they didn’t play against in the regular season

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have an incredible record in the post season

27-9
8-1 run
5 game winning streak

NE is perfect in being favorite under 6 points in their SB runs????? Heard that somewhere. Pretty small sample but interesting.

I think backups are something like 9-2 in Super Bowls.. they mentioned something like this on the radio with that 15-0 stat

that's not true, they didn't cover vs the Giants in 2011 and they were -3

unless they're only talking about when they win the SB, and the games leading up to those wins

I'm doing my own research. But does anyone know what Gene Steratore's record is doing Eagle games? I heard something like 10-3. He is from PA afterall. Got to think the NFL had that one in mind. I mean he is at the point in his career where he could and should get one, but a Philadelphia game really? When you knew that was a chance? Kinda funny and maybe a bit unethical on the NFL's part.

He was born in Uniontown, Pa, & he still lives in Pa

Steratore lives in his native Pittsburgh suburb of Washington, Pennsylvania.[14] Gene has an older brother, Tony, also an NFL official, who is a back judge currently assigned to Jerome Boger's officiating crew. His father, Gene Steratore Sr., was a college football official and basketball referee.

Steratore and his brother are the co-owners of Steratore Sanitary Supplies in Washington, Pennsylvania, outside of their NFL officiating duties.

So safe to say he and his entire family will catch shit back home if the Eagles don't win?

I would say so, especially if he breaks out the index card again & tries to pull some shit favoring the Pats, like what we saw in divisional & championship games......the refs are definitely in Krafts back pocket......I will be watching Gene & the rest of the zebras to see how they ref this SB.

Public bets majority favs all season long including play-offs but when it comes to SB, public luvs to bet the dog. So a line that should be NE -7 is only 5 because of this reason. -5 is also a number that bettors like betting the dog. I hate NE but its either bet em or dont bet at all.

Dogs are 11-4 ATS since 2001 season SB Rams/Pats.......there was one SB with a Pk, Pats vs Seattle......so I would say if the public is betting the dog like you stated, I think they're doing pretty damn well......

Yep, the SB in general is the one game where the public likes to bet the dog. JMO but i think vegas sets the line for SB based off public perception and not by stats. So alot of the stats that we look at when capping a game dont matter in a game like this. There is one stat though that is guanteed to win, bet against who i pick. Last month has been terrible for me.

He lives in Steeler Country. Philadelphia is a 'hated" sports city where he comes from and the only reason people are rooting for Philadelphia in this Super Bowl is because they don't want NE to tie Pittsburgh for the most Super Bowl trophys!
