[FONT=&quot][/FONT]Jemele Hill will depart “SportsCenter” to join ESPN’s The Undefeated, Sports Illustrated reported Friday morning.
Under the ESPN umbrella, The Undefeated focuses on the intertwining of sports, culture and race. And while Hill’s departure date remains unclear, its alleged she requested the move.
Hill, 42, was named the evening anchor on “SC6” this past February, along with former “His & Hers” podcast co-host, Michael Smith. The show was an attempt to broaden ESPN’s audience and get away from the traditional highlight show.
She found herself in the middle of a Twitter war with Donald Trump in September after calling the president a “white supremacist.” She was chastised by ESPN for that comment then suspended for two weeks the following month for a second violation of the Worldwide Leader’s social media policy after a series of tweets where she suggested that Cowboys fans who were upset with Jerry Jones’ stance on the national anthem protests should boycott the team’s sponsors if they really wanted their voices to be heard.
ESPN has yet to release a statement confirming Hill’s job change.

ESPN made a big gamble with Hill and Michael Smith and it bombed.

Almost a sure thing that ESPN will fill the new show with a bimbo white female and two former black athletes who
speaks to the audience like its a bunch of jr. high kids. ESPN is losing viewers by the thousands and don't have
a clue how to fix it. We liberal and we proud!

ESPN would have looked bad for firing her after her Trump remarks. However, with declining ratings, ESPN now has cause to let her go.

I never watched the show and never wanted to. When i was younger, i used to LOVE watching the 6pm sportscenter.

I still enjoy the Lebatard show, around the horn, and PTI (i'll watch reruns later in the evening while flipping). Even if i'm home when those shows are shown "live", i will watch and then turn the channel at 6pm

It's one thing I've learned in my 55 yrs is media people and politicians are the lowest forms of life on the planet.....both use race stories as a weapon and all it does is just fuels the problem more than it shows. I've grown up in the projects and have friends of all races and none of us even bring up race until the scumbag media or politicians start the BS.....the world would be better without them......
